Getting Northamptonshire back in business with new podcast

Date 16.06.2020

The interviews on Open4Business, the popular Nlive Radio show hosted by Adrian Pryce, Senior Lecturer in Strategy & International Business at the University of Northampton and a Deputy Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, are now available as individual podcasts.

Open4Business brings together business, civic, charity and academic leaders from across the county to talk all things business in our area. Sharing initiatives and projects from businesses and charities across the county, as well as reaction on topical economic news, the show is not to be missed by movers and shakers in the Northamptonshire business community.

One of the show’s objectives, according to Adrian, who is one of the Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire’s Deputies, is to encourage business and the not for profit sectors to work closer together.

Thanks to the new podcast, you can catch up on the go, as Adrian interviews local leaders, shining a light on the best of local business in the community, as well as talking about how current affairs and national policy impact our region.

Speaking about the launch of the podcast, Adrian said: “Northamptonshire has a healthy business community, and through the show, and now the podcasts, we have an excellent platform to discuss key issues and showcase success stories from our local leaders, organisations and wider community.

“During lockdown, we’ve been exploring how Northamptonshire’s businesses have been adapting and innovating during the COVID-19 crisis. For example, Iain Hulmes CEO Pallite, a Wellingborough-based business joined us and shared insights into how they’re adapting, innovating and diversifying. Sarah Homer CEO of the Brackmills Industrial Estate BID, shared her thoughts on how businesses have been able to react so positively to the COVID-19 crisis for the benefit of the community and their business.

“If you work and live in Northampton, this should be your go to place to keep up with how Northampton is open for business.”

Martin Steers, NLive Radio Station Manager, said: “”It’s great that Adrian’s show is now fortnightly and has now launched as a podcast as well, helping bring the great interviews and conversations he has about local businesses and the development of business to a wider audience, the show is from Northampton but what’s talked about will be of interest to people involved in business across the country and even further. I look forward to see how the show continues to develop and become a great asset for the station and for the University.”
