Dr Angie Bartoli elected Vice Chair of the British Association for Social Work England

Date 1.06.2017

Dr Angie Bartoli, Leader in Social Work at the University of Northampton, has reached a major milestone in her career after being elected as Vice Chair of the British Association for Social Work (BASW) England Committee.

The BASW is the largest professional association for social work in the UK and is split into five committees covering England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and International.

Angie’s two year tenure as Vice Chair for the England Committee will see her work with BASW staff, particularly the England Manager and Executive Officer, focusing on current issues for social work. Together they will be responsible for deciding upon priority areas for BASW England, as well as agreeing and monitoring progress against the Committee’s main development plan.

Talking about her appointment Angie said: “I am delighted and honoured to have been elected as Vice Chair for BASW England and look forward to working with colleagues to ensure that as a profession, social work, has a strong voice in the challenging times that we have ahead of us.”
