Date 1.03.2018

The work of emerging artists from the University of Northampton will go on public display later this month.

The 15 spring show will feature work from 15 second year Fine Art Painting and Drawing students.

The collection includes a diverse range of approaches to painting and drawing. Both figurative and abstract work will be brought together exploring various themes such materiality, form, colour and process.

Curator, Leonie Weston, said: “We are extremely excited to be presenting our own exhibition to celebrate the diverse talent and individuality amongst 15 students at the University of Northampton.

“Having worked exceptionally hard in bringing together a unique, interesting and refined show in order to showcase our abilities as emerging artists, we hope to see people there, enjoying the range of art as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

Stefan Gant, Senior Lecturer in Drawing and New Media, added: “This exhibition is a vital platform and test bed for students to present work and an opportunity to celebrate their talent as they continue to unlock their individuality on the BA (Hons) Painting and Drawing course. We look forward to welcoming you.”
