Business Improvement District benefits from UON expert advice

The Acting Dean of the University of Northampton’s Faculty of Business and Law, Mark Cusiter, has joined the Board of Northampton’s Business Improvement District (BID).

The BID connects businesses across the town centre, to bring collective power for events, initiatives and lobby for investment opportunities, with the aim of improving their trading environment.

Speaking about his appointment to the Board, Mark Cusiter said: “Established in 2011, the BID has been at the heart of plans to develop the town centre into a quality destination with a clear identity. The University, and our students, are a huge part of the cultural and economic make-up of the town.

“In joining the BID Board, I hope to enhance the way the BID team understand student opinions and preferences, making the town a more attractive proposition to the student community.

“As Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, I’ll be able to use this unique position to support the business community with the expert advice, research and a talented pool of students and graduates from the University, to help builds upon the BID successes to date.”
