Be part of the Change: Changemaker Week 2016

Date 22.09.2016

Changemaker Week 2016, running from 10-14 October, offers a whole host of activities and events designed to get students and staff involved in creating a positive impact.

This year’s Changemaker Week focuses on the four Changemaker+ Challenges, with workshops, events, talks across both Park and Avenue Campuses. With sessions specifically looking at Education, Health and Wellbeing, Culture, Heritage and Environment and Enterprise activities; there’s something for everyone.

Why not sign up for the Changemaker Innovation Lab and grow an idea, pop along to the Social Enterprise Showcase or volunteer for the day with the Canal and River Trust? If a work out for the body or brain is more your thing, do battle with local Changemaker Schools to see if ‘you’re smarter than a ten year old’ or flex your muscles and brave the army assault course or the iDid Adventure climbing wall.

Wray Irwin, Head of the University of Northampton’s Changemaker, said: “It’s our commitment to Changemaking that differentiates Northampton from other universities, and this week will showcase the best of our Changemaker activities. Our Changemaker+ Challenges extend our core teaching, learning and research competencies much farther than the University campuses, and benefitting the local community around us.”
