Award-winning joker to debut at Northampton’s floating comedy club

Date 10.10.2016

The comedian with the funniest joke of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe comes to Northampton this week – thanks to a University of Northampton graduate.

Masai Graham scooped Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe 2016 award after quipping “my dad has suggested that I register for a donor card. He’s a man after my own heart”.

He’s now been tempted to play a comedy club in Northampton, after being booked by Events Management graduate Hema Patel.

Hema is sales and events manager for The Ark – a converted boat moored at Midsummer Meadow, which is town’s first and only floating venue.

Masai shares headline billing with Pete Teckman, with support from Anthony Burgess and The Reverend Henry King. Mr Andy will be on compering duties.

Tickets for the comedy night, which starts at 7.45pm on Wednesday 12 October, cost £5, or two for £9. Students from the University of Northampton can buy discounted tickets for £3.
