Staff Profile

  • Yuba Raj Baral holds a PhD in Public Health from the London Metropolitan University, UK and MSc in Health Services and Public Health Research (Public Health) from University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. He has also completed MA in Population Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr Baral has been working as the capacity of lecturer in University of Northampton, UK at school of Health Education and Society at the faculty of Public Health. Dr Baral has been involved in teaching MSc public health and supervising PhD students. Before joining Northampton University, he was working as the Associate Professor and Program Coordinator in Master’s in Public Health program (MPH) at MMIHS, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has more than 15 years of experience in teaching and research in public health, coordination, and course management. He has expert knowledge on health services, public health research and health promotion, protection and behaviour change, system strengthening, research project management, health policy and planning. Dr Baral had already led the multiple research projects, and has extensive experience in public health surveillance, project monitoring and evaluation.
