  • Tim is a highly experienced performer, educator and academic.

    His performance career includes worldwide touring and recording with iconic UK ska / punk band The Specials, and the hit West End show The Book of Mormon, written by the creators of South Park.

  • Tim’s teaching career includes performance coaching, instrumental teaching, practical and theoretical musicianship and teacher training, primarily in Higher Education. He holds an FHEA and a PGCE (FENTO) alongside an LRAM Teaching Diploma.

  • Tim’s research interests are currently centred upon the attributes and knowledge exhibited and valued by professional musicians, and how these are developed both inside and outside of the educational world. He is currently in the process of writing up his PhD thesis at the UCL Institute of Education.
