Staff Profile

  • Sarah has completed a PhD at the University of Hull in Marketing in summer 2017 and a MSc from the University of Surrey in 2012. After PhD, Sarah has been actively teaching students and is passionate about teaching students innovatively using various technological tools to promote learning and engagement.

    Professionally, Sarah is an ad-hoc reviewer for some international journals and working on a few research projects in collaboration with some colleagues from across the UK. Prior to joining the University of Northampton, Sarah worked for 6 years in one of the public universities in Malaysia and gained so much knowledge from peers. Sarah has also attended several international conferences to present research papers.

    Sarah’s hobbies include writing, cleaning, walking and cooking. Sarah loves to try different recipes and write them up in a cooking book if it becomes successful. Sarah loves playing chess and was a junior chess champion of the district and the 10th best player in the state, and has been actively participating in some chess competitions throughout Sarah’s career.

  • Sarah teaches various modules across BA (Hons) International Tourism Management and MA International Hotel Management programmes. Sarah is the module leader for LEIM037 International Hotel Management and LEIM040 Transforming Organisational Cultures in the Hotel Industry. Sarah also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students for their research projects and dissertation.
