Staff Profile

  • Pierre is a lecturer in Physiotherapy in the faculty of Health, Education and Society. Pierre gained his First-class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at St George’s Medical School in London in 2007 and went on to practice clinically within the NHS and then specialised in the field of neuro-musculoskeletal.

    Pierre worked in France where he had his own practice and came back to the United Kingdom to work in Occupational Health. Alongside his clinical role, Pierre worked as clinical educator, supporting the development of physiotherapists as well as mentoring and supporting the professional growth of clinicians. Pierre is also a mentor for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.

    More recently, Pierre worked in private practice and as a First Contact Practitioner in Northamptonshire.

    Pierre’s interests lie in many domains, but he particularly likes to explore mentoring and development of individuals, looking at supporting one’s skills and individuality to reach their goals.

    Pierre joined the University of Northampton in 2022 to support, teach and run the neuro-musculoskeletal module. Pierre brings over 15 years’ worth of NHS and private experience, in both acute and community settings as well as experience of teaching and mentoring work to the University of Northampton.

    In his spare time Pierre enjoys anything to do with Japan, playing tennis, his piano, cooking improvisation, ideally on a barbecue and spending as much time as possible with his family.
