  • Marverine is an award-winning Journalist and Broadcaster. 25 years working in the media, with 15 of those as a Journalist, and having clocked up over 3,500 hours of live scripted and unscripted TV presenting, Marverine is a seasoned Television News Presenter and Producer.

    On the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism programme, she is Module Leader for 1st Year Broadcast Skills for Journalists, and 2nd Year News Skills for Journalists, as well as a Final Year Dissertation Supervisor.

    On the BA (Hons) Media Production & Moving Image programme, she is Module Leader for 1st Year An Introduction to Multi-camera Studio Production

    She also freelances for BBC Midlands Today and 5 News as a Presenter, and is an Industry News Reporter for ITN Productions. 

    Her past credits include anchoring the 5-hour rolling news programme, ‘World News and Business Report’ for Sky News; anchoring the News Hour for Arise News from its London HQ, establishing and leading the Video Journalism team at IBT Media in Canary Wharf and hosting live shows for Britain’s most successful and profitable TV retailer, QVC UK.

    For 2 years she hosted her own weekly radio talk show on BBC Radio WM. She’s also stood in for Dotun Adebayo and Rhod Sharp on BBC Radio 5 Live’s ‘Up All Night’.

    In terms of documentaries: she produced ‘Ladies With Lyrics’, a one-hour programme for BBC 1Xtra about the rising female stars of the UK grime MC scene. The world of female gambling addicts was her first for BBC Radio 4 called ‘Lucky Be A Lady Tonight’ – a 30-minute documentary which she produced and presented. And she’s currently producing her second documentary for BBC Radio 4, due for broadcast in Summer 2018.
