  3. Mark Thursby

  • Mark Thursby holds senior fellow status within AdvanceHE. He is senior lecturer and programme leader for the BA (Hons) in Music Production. He has been teaching in HE for 23 years, and specialises in quality, course design and teacher training.

    Musically, he has been publishing electronic music for over a decade under the moniker ‘conscious program’. He is a guitarist and drummer and has a keen interest in improvisation and composition.

  • Mark teaches across most areas of the music degrees, and specialises in music production, philosophy and cultural theory, performance, and education.

  • Mark’s interests lie in the area of education and philosophy of mind. He is currently focussing on electronic music and AI and details of the ongoing annual installation “Of Sound Mind” can be viewed on this Of Sound Mind Exhibition 2023 blog.
