Kimberley qualified as an Occupational Therapist through the University of Northampton before joining the academic team as a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy. Prior to this, she worked across both health and social care services, including forensic mental health and learning disability settings, supporting adults with complex needs.
Kimberley is passionate about occupation-focused practice, occupational justice and addressing health and educational inequalities. Her professional interests include mental health, trauma-informed practice, family wellbeing and parental support. She has a particular interest in equity, diversity and belonging (EDB) and intersectionality, with a focus on improving outcomes for marginalised communities through occupational therapy, inclusive education and wider systems change.
Kimberley teaches across all levels of the Occupational Therapy programme. She enjoys encouraging discussion and critical thinking to support students in becoming reflective, compassionate and occupation-focused practitioners.
