  • James Mason was appointed as Lecturer in Sport Development at the University of Northampton in April 2019. James has an BA (Hons) degree in Sport Studies and Business and an MA in Sport Development. James is currently undertaking his PhD which is critically examining the emergence of social enterprise within the field of sport for development. James is a Fellow of the Higher Education Award (FHEA).

  • James’ main research interests lie within the area of sport and social entrepreneurship. James is passionate about advancing the critical sociology of sport and to apply its tenets to the field of sport for development.
