Staff Profile

  • Dr Imane Tiahi has spent many years working in education teaching English as a foreign language. This experience has given her a valuable insight into what happens in education in different countries like Algeria and UK. She researches on topics relating to Teaching and Learning, m-learning in education, student engagement and EFL. She has achieved the status of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  

  • A senior lecturer and a Cognate Leader for the Integrated Foundation Year in Development, Education, and Law at UON. She has been at the University of Northampton for 6 years now where she came to complete her PhD degree. She taught English study skills at the University of Northampton International College (UNIC) for 5 years on foundation and level 4. She began her academic career teaching English as a Foreign Language at the secondary school in Algeria. Her background is in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
