Staff Profile

  • Gary has developed his academic journey through sport & exercise science at CCCU. Obtaining both BSc & MSc from the same institution. Currently he is undertaking a PhD with a focus of Biomechanics with particular emphasis on partial shot mechanics.

    He has spent nearly 10 years within the industry developing both sport performance & general health for the population through the multiple titles he has attained. Gary aided performance as a strength & conditioning coach for football, rugby, athletics & fencing at a multitude of competitive levels.

    Gary worked on improving outcomes for cancer populations, diabetic, clinical low back pain & pregnancy. As well as developing as a sports massage therapist.

  • Gary started his teaching career in the higher education sector in 2022 starting with Writtle University College & Anglia Ruskin University working within sport science.

    He joined UON in 2024 teaching across multiple sport programmes. He also aims to develop his career at UON, aspiring to develop as far as possible.

  • Current PhD student exploring partial shot mechanics from a fundamental perspective.
