  3. Catherine Mitsaki

Catherine is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Linguistics at the University of Northampton. She has over 20 years of professional experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language and English for Academic Purposes in the UK and abroad. She has written and presented papers for various national and international conferences on EAP and Second Language Teaching.

Catherine is the course leader for BA International Education and BA TESOL programmes and module leader for BA and MA TESOL modules. Her main teaching and research interests include collaborative teaching and learning approaches, language and intercultural communication, multilingualism, digital and AI literacies and critical thinking skills.

Undergraduate

  • Module leader for EDU3041 – English Use and Intercultural Communication and EDU3078 – Challenges and opportunities in English Language Teaching

Postgraduate

  • Module leader for EDUM155 – Syllabus and materials design and EDUM170 – Research Thesis.
  • Provides supervision of BA Dissertation in International Education and TESOL, and MA Thesis in TESOL.
