Staff Profile

  • Angelique Wisse is a practising interior designer and the programme leader for Interior Architecture and Spatial Design.

    Alongside her own professional creative work, Angelique has worked on an array of global interior design projects whilst employed at the acclaimed Dutch architectural practice Mecanoo and Hawkins Brown in London. With a range of professional qualifications and many years of industry experience in interior architecture, Angelique applies her insights into professional practice to inform her teaching. 

  • Angelique teaches modules across different year groups on the BA Interior Architecture and Spatial Design course.

    Angelique’s experience in practice informs her teaching and in particular projects based on real live scenarios using design thinking to tackle pressing social, environmental, and economic issues; emphasising the role designers play in creating innovative and suitable spaces within the constraints of existing buildings and context, and developing crucial practical and professional skills required in industry.  

  • Angelique’s research involves further developing connections to the local and global community providing student involvement with live projects.

    Currently Angelique is directly involved with a number of real life student projects working with Northampton Council, Buddies of Beckets Park and Delapre Abbey Trust, enabling students to gain experience beyond conceptual stage, and establishing live projects that are delivered from conceptual stage to the final construction of the student design proposal.
