IDEK Theatre Company

IDEK Theatre Company was founded in 2017 by Senior Lecturer in Acting and Drama, Rory O’Neill and Technician Tim Halliday. The company members are students on the Drama and Acting Undergraduate Programmes.

IDEK (for short) is a physical theatre in education company, whose aim is to tell relatable stories in a high energy physical theatre style that is immersed in a digital landscape.

The IDEK team works with secondary schools across Northamptonshire and internationally, through their partnership with Brooklyn Professional Arts College in New York, USA. IDEK is currently partnering with ThickSkin Theatre Company to develop access to Drama and Performance for those students who aspire to become the theatre makers of tomorrow.

The IDEK Threatre Company also has a programme of continuing professional development for drama teachers, as well as a bespoke training programme for schools called Drama in Action, which is now in its second year.
