After nearly a decade of dedicated service to the University and the Northampton community, Unitemps Northampton will celebrate its tenth anniversary in April 2024. With a combined team experience of over 17 years, we proudly stand as a beacon of unwavering commitment to UON students seeking temporary employment opportunities while pursuing their studies.

What truly sets Unitemps apart is our profound connection to the academic community. As a University-owned and operated entity, every penny earned is reinvested directly into enhancing the University and its facilities. For us, it’s not about profit margins – it’s about people. Our primary focus is on delivering an exceptional candidate experience, which we prioritise over sales targets. Our dedicated team is devoted to helping students and the broader Northampton community gain the ability to earn while they learn, and to better support themselves, often opening doors to potential permanent roles.

Conveniently located in the Student Futures Hub on the ground floor of the Learning Hub, no appointment is necessary to speak with a member of our team. The Unitemps desks are staffed from 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. We’re a small, close-knit team, committed to looking after all of our students, candidates, clients, and University hiring managers.

At Unitemps, our reach spans across a diverse array of sectors, including design, sports, and on-campus roles – including working with the UON marketing department – as well as warehousing and logistics positions. Whether you’re a creative visionary or a logistics enthusiast, we have opportunities tailored to your unique skills and aspirations.

Recently, we marked a significant milestone by successfully placing over 150 students with one of our clients – a testament to the calibre of talent that walks through our doors. Time and time again, our students have not only met but exceeded expectations in various roles within the organisation and we eagerly anticipate the possibility of placing even more bright minds in the future!

To ensure you’re among the first to hear about new roles, register at unitemps.com and sign up for email notifications. That way, you’ll receive updates as new positions become available, ensuring you’re always in the loop and ready to seize your next exciting opportunity. Once you’ve registered and set up your account, you’ll be prompted to upload your CV, but don’t worry if you don’t have one as you can visit Student Futures for information on the CV workshops available from the Careers and Employability team. With your account set up, you can start applying for roles advertised on the website and if you’re successfully placed, you’ll then be invited to attend a Right to Work Check with one of the Unitemps team members, which takes about 20 minutes. They’ll be in touch to inform you of the specific documents you need to bring, such as your passport, Government Share code, and term dates. This process is in place to ensure that if you have a visa, you have the right to work, and to check any restrictions, such as the number of hours you can work per week. But, there’s nothing to worry about, as the Unitemps team is well-trained to guide you through the process step-by-step.

Unitemps Northampton isn’t just a service – it’s a team dedicated to empowering students, fostering growth, and making a positive impact on the Northampton landscape. Join us in this journey towards a future where learning and earning go hand in hand, and where potential knows no bounds. Together, we’re shaping a brighter tomorrow for Northampton and its aspiring talents.
