Relaxing after exams

You’ve survived exam season. Woohoo, happy days! The one-night policy, late-night cram sessions, and anxiousness at 3AM are finally over. Okay, what next? It’s totally normal to feel guilty for not being “productive”. I’m going to stop you there: this is your pass to chillax.

Rest is productive

Just like everything else, your brain, too, needs a break. It has been working hard, and akin to a machine, it needs a reset. There’s no need to fret about squandering time. The secret to preventing burnout lies in relaxation. Whether it’s an anime binge marathon, playing mobile legends all day, or sleeping to your heart’s content, it’s all fine.

Treat yourself

Mate! You’ve worked very hard, so a little reward is a must. You just powered through one of the most stressful times of the year. Go out to that steakhouse you’ve been wanting to check out. Have a self-care day. Get yourself a nice mani-pedi. Or even better yet, a full-on pamper session at the salon. Get yourself a gift like that new perfume you’ve wanted for ages.

Reconnect with life outside of notes

Remember your social life? Your badminton game? The gym? It’s now time to discover them again. Go for a cute picnic date with friends, and continue that book you abandoned in Week 2, or finally do the thing you kept saying you’d do “after the exams”.

You earned this

You should embrace the relaxation. Guilt-free rest is a flex. Let yourself unwind, recharge yourself, let go of the stressful things for a while and prepare for your next adventure.

Now, go and take that nap.
