Christmas Festivities in Northampton

To inspire some Christmas spirit, Kaiya has written about festivities both in and out of town. Living in Northampton for most of her life, Kaiya will tell you about fun activities that you may not know about.
There are plenty of fun activities to do in Northampton over Christmas time! Here are some of my favourites.
Creative fun!
For some creativity, there are wreath-making workshops at Delapré Abbey and Yardley Arts, so you can decorate your home and bring in the festive feel.
Shopping
Continue shopping for your friends and loved ones with the extended late night shopping in the town centre. The Grosvenor Centre and the popular café, Bell Plantation, have extended their hours for the Christmas period.

Evening festivities
Northampton Winter Light Trail: Spend an evening getting into the festive spirit, with the unmissable Northampton Winter Light Trail at Delapré Abbey. With street food stalls, festive lights and plenty of photo opportunities, this is the perfect place to go this winter.
Theatre trips
For theatre goers and for a lovely evening with friends and family, the Night Before Christmas is playing at the Royal and Derngate Theatre in the town centre. Enjoy an evening of being immersed onstage to get everyone into the festive mood.
Kaiya Khatri is currently doing MA Fine Art at UON. She loves reading and writing and wanted to get involved in writing blogs at the University. In her spare time she is an Indian classical dancer and teacher in Northampton. She also enjoy working on her artwork and hopes to set up an Etsy shop soon!
