Discovery Days

Our next 2023 discovery days will take place on:

  • Saturday 1 April

If you have applied to us, we will send you your discovery day e-invite in the next few weeks.

If you cant attend on any of these dates, there are still plenty of ways to meet us.

Why not join one of our Living Room Lectures which take place online or alternatively sign up for a campus tour.

Discovery Days FAQs

  • We appreciate that choosing a university is a very important decision to make. So our discovery days are designed exclusively for applicants to experience our courses. The events are free and include information on the courses available and give a chance to explore the campus (be that virtually or via a campus tour). This first-hand experience is invaluable in helping you decide where and what course you would like to study.

  • Discovery days are designed for applicants and give a chance to get into the nitty gritty of what our courses are about and meet other applicants who you could be studying with. If you haven’t applied yet, we would recommend signing up for an open day, Check out our open days page for more information.

  • Discovery day places must be booked in advance, so make sure you secure yours as soon as possible.  If you can’t make it to a certain discovery day, there may be other events available and our campus tours run throughout the year. Check out our campus tours page for more information.

  • When making such an important decision, it can be very helpful to have a second opinion from someone you trust. That’s why you are very welcome to bring guests with you.

  • When it comes to what to wear to a uni discovery day, there are no set rules but during our on campus open days, as you will be touring the campus, comfortable footwear is recommended. Bear in mind that you may also be meeting your future tutors, so it’s a good idea to avoid wearing anything inappropriate.

  • Free parking is available on discovery days in car park 4 at Waterside Campus. Please use the following postcode NN4 8RR to find us.

If you’re planning to travel using our Park & Ride, make sure you use this address: Saints Car Park, Edgar Mobbs Way, Sixfields, Northampton, NN5 5JR. There is usually a cost for the Park & Ride but it is free to use during our discovery days.

If you plan to travel by train, please plan your journey in advance. When you arrive in Northampton, we’ve got you covered from the train station to campus. The discovery day bus from the Park and Ride stops at the station and our Student Ambassador (wearing a blue uniform) will be on hand to point you in the right direction.

If you are from London or Milton Keynes we do also offer free transport, further details will be emailed to you when you register.
