As an Early Career Researcher (ECR), Jacquie is in the process of disseminating primary research derived doctoral study investigating professional identity in adult nursing, its legitimacy and authenticity. Undertaken using an innovative and novel methodology, known as Visual Grounded Theory, a qualitative methodology combining Constructivist Grounded Theory and Visual Research.
Her interest in unorthodox methodologies has translated to participation in the Non-Traditional Research Methods (NTRM) Network, of which she is a founder member. Established in April 2021- present, the purpose of this virtual network is to provide a space for meaningful cross disciplinary research debate, encouraging creativity in this aspect of research design.
A member of Faculty of Health and Society Research Ethics Committee for Health, and a co-theme leader for student experience within the Centre for Health Sciences and Services, that aims to create a positive and supportive platform for research endeavours mapped against the university’s strategy 2023-2027. Of which several innovation projects informing Teaching and Learning at UON have successfully undertaken and translated to new ways of thinking and working to enhance student learning.
