Thinking about studying business at university?
This webinar discusses a key area of business management by exploring how leaders and managers guide organisations through today’s fast-changing and unpredictable business environment. Focusing on the challenges of uncertainty, rapid change and increasing complexity, the session introduces the VUCA model (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) as a way of understanding modern business conditions.
Led by staff from the Business Management team at the University of Northampton, this session introduces core ideas from leadership and strategic management that students may recognise from A-level Business, including leadership styles, decision-making, external influences and business objectives. Giving attendees a ‘taster’ of how these topics are developed further at degree level, the webinar uses real company examples to explore how businesses respond to technological change, economic uncertainty and ethical pressures.
We look forward to you joining us for a thought-provoking and friendly discussion of how effective leadership can shape business performance, stakeholder relationships and long-term success in an uncertain and rapidly changing world.
