Student Perks
The student perks you can choose from is either a £500 food and drink credit for on campus canteens, a discount off your accommodation or a free laptop. I decided to chose the laptop, this was because I am a commuting student coming into university and luckily my parents help with food, so it was a clear choice.
Why I chose the free laptop
The laptop has helped me so much already, and I am just over half way through the first year. It has allowed me to complete assignments when I need to and to not rely on having to go to the library. I can do work when at home, in the studios or even pop to a coffee shop.
The benefits of picking the free laptop perk
On my course we gain access to Drama Online, which is a bit like Netflix for theatre kids, and having this laptop has allowed me to browse this and explore what is out there in the world. I have been able to watch videos on different types of theatre and performance and get inspiration for my own pieces of work.
Also, as a Student Influencer, I would not be able to complete my blogs without this laptop. So not only has choosing the laptop helped me complete my course assignments but it has also allowed me to gain work.
