With members from across three continents and strategic partnerships with leading research institutions, organisations, and policymakers, the Centre for Global Economic and Social Development (GESD) brings together expertise from a variety of areas within UON and beyond. Therefore, we are uniquely positioned to help institutions and businesses engage with international partners, and to produce valuable research with demonstrable impact as well as cutting-edge consultancy.
We have three key special interest groups – Peace and Development (PD), Alternative Pathways to Development (AP), and International Business and Development (IBD). We have area specialisms in the MENA region, China, Central Asia, and Africa.
