Political parties have chosen who will be their candidates for Wellingborough, following MP Peter Bone losing his seat. The Conservative candidate is Bone’s partner Helen Harrison, so Kate was back on the air talking with BBC Radio Northampton to give her take on this. Listen again (clip expired).

Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Shân Wareing blogged for Wonkhe about how the process of compiling the Teaching Excellence Framework has brought focus, energy, and renewed pride in the work of the University.

Professor of Sustainable Wastes Management Margaret Bates has been appointed by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as head of the scheme administrator for the UK’s packaging extended producer responsibility (EPR). Research from UON is referenced in a BBC News online article about how 7 in 10 people who use the YMCA in Milton Keynes report a disability or a mental health issue.
