University stories in the news – February 8-14

Vice Chancellor, Professor Nick Petford, was a guest on Evan Davis’s Radio 4 show, The Bottom Line, discussing whether universities are businesses, amongst other topics.

Fine Art graduate Michael Sheppard was on BBC Radio Northampton this week, talking about his appearance on Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year television show (starts 11m 45s).

Academics Duncan McCollin, Jeff Ollerton and Margaret Bates have signed a letter, published in The Guardian, which backs the UK schools’ climate change strike. A story about the letter is also featured in the paper.
