This week’s round-up of University stories in the news.

BBC Radio Northampton’s roving reporter, Tom Percival, visited our Acting students at the Innovation Centre on Tuesday morning, to find out more about the Universtiy’s Estill Voice Training accreditation.

The Northamptonshire Telegraph has featured the University’s Changemaker School of the Year, Greenfields Primary School, in Kettering. The school was on the verge of being put in special measures and is now in the top one per cent of the country’s best performing schools for pupil progress in reading and writing.

Northants Chamber has published news of two Christmas shows our Acting students are performing in December.

Graduate Matt Troop, who is a former chair of the University’s Doctor Who Society, appeared on BBC Radio Northampton to talk about the show’s 55th anniversary. The interview starts 1hr 12m into the show.

The Chronicle & Echo ran a story from Dr Caroline Nielsen, Senior Lecturer in History & Heritage, containing tips on how to trace your family’s involvement in the Great War.

The Big Issue previewed the UK’s first social trading conference, which was held in partnership with the University, on Thursday 22 November. The story was also covered by the Chronicle & Echo.

Northants Chamber shared the news that our Popular Music students now have their music available on digital platforms including iTunes and Spotify.

Our furniture giveaway was featured by the Northamptonshire Telegraph, which included a great photo of happy pupils at a Corby primary school.
