    Claire’s research explores how social impact measurement as a form of organisational performance management can enhance outcomes for young people involved in the criminal justice system.

    The research project involves collaborating with a large national organisation in the youth justice sector to assess the impact of the organisation’s youth offending interventions. It will explore the recidivist behaviour of young people and the transitions to adulthood, specifically in relation to the development of a theory of change.

  • Claire completed an undergraduate and masters degree in criminology and criminal justice. Following completion of university, Claire was employed by a voluntary organisation in the capacity of Youth and Restorative Justice Team Leader in Aberdeen. On relocating Claire was employed by a local authority in the West Midlands in the capacity of Child Sexual Exploitation Coordinator.

    Claire’s research interests include youth justice, human rights, child sexual exploitation, trafficking, restorative practices, and social impact measurement.
