University of Northampton plays host to academic from Technische Universität Berlin

Date 23.12.2015

The University of Northampton’s School of Science and Technology recently welcomed Mr Thomas Guidat from the Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), to campus. The visit followed a trip by the University of Northampton’s Dr Terry Tudor to TU Berlin in May 2015.

Mr Guidat, an academic within TU Berlin’s Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Fabrikbetrieb (the Department for Assembly Technology and Factory Management), visited Northampton to work on a project to develop an online remanufacturing platform that is being undertaken with Dr Tudor. While in Northampton, Mr Guidat also took the opportunity to meet with colleagues from the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies, as well as the School of The Arts’ Product Design team, to explore further collaborative opportunities.

Dr Tudor noted that: “Thomas’ trip not only offered us the opportunity to work on the remanufacturing project, but also to show case some of the innovative work being undertaken at the University of Northampton.”
