Introducing the new Research Support Centre

Date 13.11.2015

The Research and Strategic Bidding Office and the Graduate School have come together to form a new Research Support Centre to provide a more coordinated support and development programme for research staff and students at the University of Northampton.

The Centre is located in Top Lodge on Park Campus and is a focal point for research support available throughout the University. The Centre will provide targeted support and guidance for research degree students, supervisors, research degree examiners and early career researchers to achieve their potential. Furthermore, it will provide a full bidding service to all staff interested in applying for funding, and in depth support to develop and submit application to Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).

Professor Simon Denny, Director of Research, Impact and Enterprise, commented: “We know that there are some outstanding individuals and teams at the University doing high quality research. The Research Support Centre will support them and will also work with colleagues throughout the University to help more of us do high-quality funded research, and support them with bid writing and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.”

In addition, the meeting space in Top Lodge is available to anyone across the University interested in holding a research focused event.
