A round up of recent mentions in the media of the University, our staff and students.

It’s been a busy week in politics, meaning Senior Lecturer in Journalism Kate Ironside – a former Westminster correspondent – was in demand for media interviews. She spoke with ITV Anglia about the local elections, focusing on Milton Keynes (watch again link has expired).

Kate also shared her views with BBC Radio Northampton about the resignation of Conservative council leader Jonathan Nunn and the wider picture of politics within the county. Listen again (2hrs and 12min).

Associate Professor and parapsychology expert Dr Cal Cooper featured in the Daily Star and websites such as Female First about how the grieving process can be helped by communicating with the deceased through a medium.

Third-year Podiatry students and lecturers were at the London Marathon providing post run advice and treatments. Student Charlie Cunningham spoke to BBC Northampton and BBC Radio 3 Counties about the advice and treatments he and other students provided there to keep the runners ‘on course’. New research from the University is looking at neurodiverse people studying of working in cyber industries, as reported by the Northampton Chronicle & Echo.
