May 2008- to date

PhD- The Urban Lives of Young East European Migrants in Northamptonshire. I began my PhD in May 2008 having completed my MSc in Cultural Geography in Coventry University. My research is examining the experiences of migration in Northamptonshire from the perspectives of A8 migrants. The project will consider the implications of migration for identity, perceptions of home and belonging. Several methodological techniques will be used in order to work with young migrants in order to establish an insight into their 'lifeworlds'.

October 2006- July 2008

MSc- A Youth-Centred Interpretation of Anti-Social Behaviour in Coventry. I undertook my MSc by Research in October 2006 having completed my BA in Human Geography in Coventry University. Young people aged between 12 and 15 were consulted using a variety of methods to gather a youth-centred interpretation of anti-social behaviour to inform the development of existing legislation and initiatives. The research revealed the subjective nature of anti-social behaviour and the significance of 'image' as a root cause of anti-social behaviour characteristics.
