At the Centre for Historical Studies, we have visiting fellows from a range of academic institutions who contribute to our events and knowledge sharing here at the Centre.

 

 

 

  • The photograph shows visiting Fellow Dr Liam LiburdDr Liam Liburd is Assistant Professor of Black British History at the University of Durham. Liam’s research interests include the history of race and racism, empire and decolonisation and its legacies in modern Britain. His current work is investigating the ways in which Black thinkers and activists have theorised fascism.

     

     

  • The photograph shows Dr Andrew Hann, a visiting fellow at the Centre for Historical StudiesDr Andrew Hann is Historians’ Team Leader at English Heritage. He is a social historian, focusing on post-medieval sites, particularly country houses and historic designed landscapes. Andrew has a particular interest in contested histories and telling stories of ordinary people associated with our sites. He is the English Heritage lead on external engagement with HEIs and other heritage bodies and manages EH’s collaborative doctoral programme.
