Steve’s keeping BBC radio listeners in the know

Date 28.04.2020

The University’s Visiting Professor, Dr Stephen O’Brien, has been in demand with BBC Radio Northampton since the coronavirus pandemic took a grip here in the UK.

Steve has been a weekly guest on Annabel Amos’s Breakfast Show, providing reassuring advice and answering listeners’ questions on Covid-19.

His on-air style has earned him the nickname Captain Calm, and he was no different this morning, when he discussed a number of topics, including the Government’s lockdown exit strategy; the economy; historic pandemics and some good news on mortality rates.

You can catch up with Steve’s latest interviews on the BBC Radio Northampton website (the interviews start at 1h 12m; 1h 44m; 2h 14m and 2h 46m).
