Our Joint Honours Management and Business Entrepreneurship offers modules which will provide you in a grounding in management as well as broadening your understanding of wider business issues. The course is delivered around a variety of core subjects and option choices. The course is flexible and you can tailor it to your specific interests. Later on with your studies you can specialise you interest and be supported by the academic team.

Methods of Learning

For this programme taught study would be a combination of lectures, seminars and workshops, usually for 12 hours per week. We recommend students spend 24 hours per week in self-directed study time.

Course Details

The programme has been structured to provide you with the practical skills, knowledge, commercial awareness and opportunities that will enhance your future employability and give you the confidence to develop your own business. The programme is practical in focus and offers opportunities to work on your own business ideas and network with entrepreneurs. This course looks at how to develop a business from a practical perspective. Success comes not only from business knowledge but also from personal attitude. You will be actively encouraged to develop an entrepreneurial spirit and attitude.

Course Content

You will be introduced to frameworks within management and learn about people managing. You will explore social enterprise and ways in which entrepreneurial opportunities can be identified and developed and will start to learn some of the techniques and skills required to be successful in a business environment.
