I am a Milton Keynes based freelance artist and children’s illustrator. I typically tend to work with a range of materials, using both traditional and digital media to produce my work. Generally, this work lies around storytelling using characters as a way to explore strong emotions and help educate children about real world issues.

Moon Mouse

Final major Project

For my project I was able to take part in illustrating the book Moon Mouse for the Carmelite Prize 2021 run by Hatchette Childrens UK. For this competition I was able to create a series of final children’s illustrations showing Moon Mouse on his journey of selflessness.

Northampton Football Association

Commission Project

Initially started as a competition for school children to design a new mascot, I was commissioned to work up the winning entry into a fully formed character design. This has further led to  illustrating a children’s book which features Falcon Frankie.

BBC Illustration

Commission Work

The BBC were looking for a group of illustration students to illustrate how they have felt amongst the pandemic. We were briefed to explore our emotions, mine showing anxiety and sensory overload.

A Noise in the Shed

D&AD Audible Competition

D&AD put forth a competition to design a new book cover for Audible. Among many books was ‘A Noise in the Shed’. Using the descriptions within the brief I put together some ideas as to what the new cover could be.
