Daniel Gardner – BA (Hons) Events Management
Events Management student Daniel Gardner is halfway through his course and already has a CV to be proud of.
After successfully finishing his role as Logistics and Artist Manager at the Northampton Music Festival, he went on to manage a live gig as part of the Oxjam initiative and hopes to one day manage events at national music festivals, such as Download.
He said: “Managing these events have been not only been challenging, but also highly rewarding and definitely not something I imagined I would be doing in this early in my university experience!”
Jo Burns, Owner and Manager of Amplitude PR, worked with Daniel on the Northampton Music Festival, as part of his internship. She said: “Daniel first came to Amplitude PR as part of an internship programme with the University to assist with the organisation of the Northampton Music Festival. The internship saw Daniel work in range of support roles, including logistics management, organising and communicating with bands and contacting potential sponsors. His communication skills really stood out for us, as a result we have now taken Daniel on 10 hours a week in a paid role to assist us in contacting potential new customers. Amplitude PR is a creative agency working in media and events, so it ties in nicely with the skills Daniel is learning through his studies and it’s great to have him as part of the team again!”
