Post Graduate Certificate in Low-Intensity Supervision Training Welcome Pack
Welcome to Post Graduate Certificate in Low-Intensity Supervision Training 2022.
The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) is a new professional role focused on delivering evidence-based, low-intensity early interventions for children, young people as well as parents and carers in educational settings. The programme is a full-time, one year employment training programme which is part of the national Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) transformation programme, a shared initiative between the Department for Education and Health Education England that is supporting the government’s strategy to increase access of mental health and well-being support for children and young people. Upon completion, trainees will qualify as an EMHP, a vital role within Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs).
