Enhancing skills, building networks and engaging in the wider University community

  • Industry Partnerships – Our industry partners join our taught sessions as well as participating in assignment projects and offering extra opportunities for  mentoring, paid and voluntary work, networking and research.  We encourage you to engage with our Industry Partners throughout your University career with us and make the most of their knowledge, experience and networks.
  • Work Experience – There are various opportunities to gain experience and apply your learning whilst you are studying here, both in general terms, building core transferable skills, as well as specific roles that will build your CV and explore which area of work works for you!  This also gives you lots of material to use in your professional development planning and reflections. This is not a compulsory part of your studies but will certainly benefit your learning and future career.
  • Study Trips – With visits to various locations across the UK and further afield, our study trips are always interesting and add to your university experience as well as building your knowledge. With our wider subject area cohort, we attend national and international networking events and showcases, visit destinations and undertake active research, and collaborate with international practitioners and organisations to share practice and learning. These trips are not compulsory but always add value and develop your knowledge and experience.

Your programme leader will be able to give you more in-depth information about these opportunities once your degree begins.
