Advanced Occupational Therapy MSc Welcome Pack

Welcome to MSc Advanced Occupational Therapy 2023.

​​This course supports continuous professional development and recognises the value of lifelong learning. You will develop and apply research critically to improve health for individuals, populations and healthcare systems. You will develop the advanced professional thinking required in contemporary settings to apply evidence to your practice, approach it innovatively and to think critically to shape current and future practice.

​During the programme you will explore, debate and evaluate your understanding of occupation and its application to practice​. You will evaluate the evidence base, knowledge and drivers of your professional practice​ and critically appraise current approaches and research in clinical practice​. Through the modules you will explore the value of co-production as part of Person centred practice and evaluate the contribution of the profession to meet the needs of groups in diverse settings​. You will acquire evidence through research to critically reflect on the evidence, apply knowledge concepts and research techniques to a professional problem and make recommendations to improve clinical practice.
