To request a letter please start by selecting the type of letter you require.
A Student Status letter should be requested if you need to confirm your programme of study, study dates and term time address.
Former students can also request a student status letter. This will confirm programme of study and study dates only.

A Graduation Ceremony letter should be requested if you require a letter to support a visa application for the purpose of attending a graduation ceremony.
IMPORTANT: We are only able to provide a graduation ceremony letter if you have received your electronic award letter and graduation ceremony invitation.
A bank letter should be requested if you need to prove your student status to open a bank account.
To apply for a bank letter, you must be fully enrolled on your programme of study and have received your student ID card.
IMPORTANT: Before you complete this Student Letter Request form, please ensure that you have spoken with your chosen bank to confirm their criteria for opening a bank account.
A travel letter should be requested if you are applying for a visa to travel to another country.
A work letter should be requested if you are an international student working part-time and your employer has asked for confirmation of your student status.
If you require a council tax certificate (known as Certificate of Full-Time Student Status), DO NOT complete the Student Letter Request Form.

Your letter(s) will be sent to you via DHL. In order to do this, you must agree that we can supply DHL with your name, postal address, email address and telephone number. If you are not happy for us to share this information, we will only be able to supply you with an electronic copy of your letter by email.
If you are a PhD student, please complete an Annual Leave Request Form or Authorised Absence Request Form (as appropriate). Electronic copies of both forms are available to download on the Student Hub. Completed forms should be returned to iss@northampton.ac.uk.

If you wish to travel in term-time, you will need to complete an Authorised Absence Request Form. This form is available to download on the Student Hub. Completed forms should be returned to iss@northampton.ac.uk. If you are travelling to your home country in term time, your absence will still need to be authorised, so please complete an Authorised Absence Request Form and email this to iss@northampton.ac.uk.
