Undergraduate Sport and Exercise Programmes
Our Sport and Exercise Science course focuses on the scientific principles that underpin sport and exercise. Our course is practical-based, stimulating, well-structured and research-informed, covering a range of topic areas including biomechanics, physiology and psychology.
The BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching degree is designed to develop your key coaching skills, to understand participants and their sport and how to plan, deliver and review both short and long-term training programmes.
This BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation and Conditioning course is aimed at students who are committed to working with the public, athletes and populations of all ages to support improvements in the public’s health and wellbeing.
Our single honours degree in Sport Development and Physical Education explores the ways that sport, physical education and physical activity is delivered and organised across schools and local communities.

On our innovative Sport Business & Leadership (BA Hons) programme you will study the global sport business industry and have the option to study a variety of disciplines – from elite to grass roots including leadership, digital marketing, media, PR and brands to sports management, economics and events management.
- Health Sciences BSc (Hons) (Subject to validation)
The Health Sciences BSc (Hons) offers students an in-depth study of the holistic nature of health and disease and a detailed coverage of the integrated health disciplines. These include: health psychology, health sociology, medical anthropology, human biology and physiology, human nutrition, public health, health promotion, health policy and biomedical ethics.

Sports Studies and Business (Joint Honours) BA (Hons) provides a well rounded knowledge in both Business and Sports Studies, there is a strong emphasis on the application of theories and concepts to practical issues such as increasing sport participation, managing facilities generating income and marketing.

Postgraduate Sport and Exercise Programmes
The MSc/MA Sport has three distinct and separate pathways of study allowing you to focus on Sport Science or Sport Management or Sport Media & Digital Marketing. You can elect to take study topics in your chosen area of interest and it allows you to design your master’s degree to meet your career aspirations.
This course is designed to help you in your development to becoming an effective strength and conditioning coach. Based in Northampton, we have three professional sports clubs in the town and the University is surrounded by Olympic and Paralympic feeder clubs enabling you to develop skills and experience as an applied practitioner.
