    Investigation into the application of AI (Artificial Intelligence) toward improving the management of virtualised compute platforms.

    Focused specifically on:

    • using AI decision support/expert systems to improve the build/management of virtualised compute platforms
    • use of an Intelligent Decision Engine (IDE) to simplify the deployment of VMs (Virtual Machines)
    • use of an IDE to improve VM performance management

  • James Oakes is currently a part-time research student at the Department of Computing and Immersive Technologies.

    His research interests include public/private cloud computing, artificial intelligence and virtualised compute platforms.
