Our performing arts programmes are designed to nurture and develop raw talent; on our Popular Music programme we develop your musical creativity, critical analysis and recording skills.

Acting BA (Hons) focuses on vocal and physical fundamental techniques including vocal training, singing, characterisation, ballet and stage combat.

While Acting & Creative Practice BA (Hons) introduces you to the fundamental techniques forming the basis of your studies – how to act with a text, how to create text from character, how to improve vocal strength and health, and how important the body is to the craft of the actor.

Drama BA (Hons) aims to establish an ethos and approach to creative practices built on professionalism, rigor, empathy and commitment in the diverse fields related to theatre-making.

Whether it be through acting on stage or screen, voice-over work, collaborative performances, devising your own stage play or recording and producing your own song or composition – we have the course for you.

Undergraduate Performing Arts Programmes

BA Acting & Creative Practice gives you the knowledge, skills and training to work successfully on stage, on screen, in voice-over work, and in collaborative performances.

This practical training programme is designed to develop the high-level skills and knowledge required to enter the profession of a working actor on stage and screen.

The Drama BA (Hons) programme offers a unique opportunity to study Drama through both practical and theoretical modules, which exposes students to a wide cross section of the multitude career pathways in the fields of Drama, Theatre and Performance.

Popular Music BA (Hons) will give you all the skills you need to become a creative music practitioner, helping you to understand how to work in a range of areas in the music and media industry, as well as the teaching profession and other related areas.

Our Popular Music course will help you to develop your musical creativity, critical analysis and recording skills giving you the opportunity to become a fully equipped musician for the 21st century. You will be able to combine this with another area of interest through a Joint Honours degree.

This course is an excellent foundation for practical careers in teaching, devising or the application of performance techniques in a variety of contexts, studied alongside another area of your interest through a Joint Honours degree.

This Joint Honours course will develop your literary and Dramatic ways of thinking. It will introduce you to a fascinating range of literary texts and periods allowing you to develop your skills as a thinker, reader, writer and critic.

This course is an excellent foundation for practical careers in teaching, devising or the application of of performance techniques in a variety of contexts, alongside due to the learning of human behavior, thought and emotions from very different psychological outlooks to develop a well rounded individual styling of both subjects.
