The University of Northampton is pleased to welcome Rob Palfreman as the new Head of IT Services.
Rob has been working in the field of information technology and communications for around 20 years and during this time, he has held a number of leadership positions at the NEC Group, most recently as Head of Applications and Architecture.

Rob brings a depth of experience and leadership capabilities to his current position where he is responsible for the strategic design, development and implementation of information technology throughout the University. The initial focus is in developing effective Project and Digital Services functions as well as helping define the Waterside vision.
Rob was educated at DeMontfort University where he gained a BSc (Hons) Science and the Environment and an MSc Information Technology. He currently lives in Leicester with his partner Claire and their four children.
He commented: “Firstly thanks for the warm welcome that everyone has given me. I am passionate about the use of technology to support organisational growth and success and am looking forwarded to further developing IT Services to best support the University’s strategy and objectives as we progress towards the exciting move to Waterside.”
