Unitemps Northampton scoops two awards at national ceremony

Date 13.11.2015

Unitemps Northampton, the University of Northampton’s own in-house temporary recruitment agency has scooped two top awards at the recent National Unitemps Awards ceremony.

Beating off stiff competition from the other thirteen Unitemps branches, the Northampton branch was awarded the Franchise Relationship Manager ‘Best Branch’ award. The University of Northampton branch of Unitemps, which has only been in operation since September 2014, has already helped over 520 students gain work while they study.  With over 100 employers regularly looking for students to fill vacancies; the ‘Best Branch’ award is well deserved.

Unitemps recruitment Consultant, Charlotte Dix was recognised at the awards ceremony, receiving the ‘Best Newcomer’ award. Charlotte received the award after receiving nominations from colleagues across the network of branches.

Speaking after the awards ceremony, Charlotte said: “I would like to thank the staff at the University’s Centre for Employability and Engagement (UCEE); the ‘Best Branch’ Award recognises our collaborative work. We are fortunate that the UCEE and Unitemps have a very close working relationship and this is fast creating a powerful recruitment resource in Northampton. Over the next year, we aim to grow the number of employers offering vacancies and using our students and graduate to support their business needs. This will in turn enhance our students’ employability skills.”
