Guest lecture to examine art’s role in changing minds about climate change

Date 11.03.2019

The University of Northampton has organised a guest lecture which will see artist Malcolm Miles examine whether there is a role for art in persuading individuals, businesses and governments to act on climate change.

Malcolm will argue that art cannot change the world – which changes anyway, the point being in which direction – but that contributes to shifts in how the world is apprehended.

The lecture, which is open to the public, takes place at Lamport Hall on Wednesday 20 March, between 10am and 12.30pm.

Tickets are free for University of Northampton students, with the public able to purchase theirs for £11.25.
